Copyright and Takedown Policy

MakerWizard lets makers publish designs on the Explore page. Those designs are chosen and shared by users, not by us. This policy says how a copyright owner can have such a design looked at, and what happens next. Private files in someone's account are not visible to others; if you believe one infringes, the same address applies. Trademarks have their own page: the Trademark Policy.

Write to legal@makerwizard.com. So that we can act quickly, include:

1. the exact address (URL) of the design on MakerWizard;
2. what work of yours it copies, with a link or a copy if you can;
3. why you believe the use is not allowed;
4. your name and email address, and the rights holder you act for, if not yourself;
5. a statement that you believe in good faith that the information is accurate and complete, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

A notice in the form used under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act contains all of this and is accepted as it is. You can write in English or Slovak.

• We confirm that we received it, and a person reviews it without undue delay, normally within five working days.
• If the design is clearly infringing, or the notice is sufficiently substantiated, we remove it from Explore, and where needed from the account.
• We tell the person who shared it what was removed and why, without your contact details unless they are needed to understand the claim, and we tell you what we decided.
• If the notice is incomplete or the matter is not clear, we ask for more, or decline and say why.

You can answer to legal@makerwizard.com: say which design, why you had the right to share it (your own work, a licence, or a use the law allows), and include your name and email. A person reviews it. If the removal was a mistake we restore the design; if the other side goes to court the court decides.

An account that infringes repeatedly is suspended and, if it continues, closed, after a warning. Notices and answers that are knowingly false also have consequences: we may stop processing notices from the sender for a time, and the law may make them liable for the damage they cause.

Drawings here are made by image models from a maker's sentence. A model can produce something that resembles an existing work without anyone intending it. Resemblance is handled the same way as any other claim: tell us, and we look.
