What you get
Print PNG at 300 dpi
Transparent, cropped to the art and sized to what it goes on: mug side, 11 oz (3.5 × 3.5 in), mug side, 15 oz (4 × 4 in), pocket, ornament, sticker (3 × 3 in), shirt front (10 × 12 in), or a size you type. The density is written into the file, so printer software opens it at the right size.
Cut file in true size
Line art and stencils also come as black shapes in millimetres: SVG for Cricut Design Space and Silhouette's paid editions, DXF for Silhouette's free one, and a LightBurn project to engrave it.
A weeding check
Before you cut, the file is measured at that size: lines and gaps thinner than 1/16 in are painted red, and it tells you the smallest size that weeds cleanly.
Questions makers ask
What do I get for one portrait?
One drawing costs 1.5 exports. Its print PNG at any size, and for line art and stencils its cut files, come with it and cost nothing more, as many times as you need them.
Which photo works best?
A sharp photo with the face in the light and the subject in front. The background does not matter: it is cut out before the drawing is made, so grass, sofas and other pets behind are left out.
Why does my line art say it will not weed?
Siser's EasyWeed guide asks for lines of at least 1/16 in. A detailed line drawing on a 3.5 in mug is finer than that, so the check paints those lines red and tells you the size from which it weeds cleanly. For small vinyl pieces, the Stencil style draws with bold shapes on purpose.
Can I sell what I make?
Yes. The files MakerWizard makes for you are yours, including for products you sell. You need the right to use the photo, and for a photo of a person, that person's permission.
What happens to my customer's photo?
It is stored with the portrait in your account and sent to fal.ai, which removes the background and draws the portrait. It is deleted with your account. It is never shown to anyone else.
Why is the watercolour see-through on a coloured shirt?
A watercolour is paint on white paper, so the print file keeps only the paint: pale washes stay pale and the white of the paper becomes transparent. On white mugs and cards it looks as painted. On a dark shirt, pick Cartoon, which keeps white fur and highlights solid.
